Education plays a major role in every individual’s life. If we are educated we can have a good life for ourselves and for our families, because only good education can be helpful for our growth in each and every sector where we wish to be. Now the whole world believes that the foundation of a good nation can be build or possible with the help of education only. Education develops personality of the people, provides physical and mental standard and transforms people’s living status. Good education is constructive in nature which constructs our future forever.

Bihar was a major seat of learning in the ancient times. It was served by two famous universities of the time Nalanda and Vikramshila.Bihar has low literacy rate compared to many other states in India. However, the state has witnessed the reduction of dropout rates from the schools in the last few years. There are 71832 (approx.) schools in Bihar which includes pre-primary, primary, secondary, elementary, secondary and senior secondary in which 5871 primary schools in the state do not have their own buildings. Due to poor educational infrastructure at schools in rural Bihar the number of dropouts from primary schools has increased to a large extent when compared to the previous years. A recent survey by National University of Educational Planning & Administration (NUEPA) has determined that only 21% of all primary school teachers in Bihar have completed the matriculation or 10th standard.Researchers found out that 37.8% of Bihar's teachers could not be found during unannounced visits to schools, the worst teacherabsencerate in India and one of the worst in the world.
BAUSS taking initiative and improvements in primary school enrolment show that Bihar is making progress in improving its education levels. We have focused on lowering the cost of schooling through subsidizing or providing textbooks, uniforms, bicycles and cash transfers for attendance. While these have reduced the costs of schooling in Bihar, much remains to be done to boost schooling infrastructure and improve conditions for both students and teachers.More than 2000 poor and orphans children get benefitted.
